Currently, the available quickstart is for Joomla 3x alone. However, the template and all other extensions provided are fully compatible with Joomla2.5x.
I bought this template and did the quickstart install. It looks nothing like the demo..I only get a single column with a background.. Am I missing something here?
Does the quickstart.zip include all modules/plugins etc used in the demo?

I am not sure which sample data you chose to install while installing the quickstart package, but I am sure if you had chosen to install "default sample data," then you would get the exact replica of the demo site.
Is the update you told me last month ready? I'm waiting to look if that fix the issues. On my site i finally decided to switch off responsive view.

Please check the module in the position slider. The module is revolution slider. You may edit the slides and add more via the rev slider component section.

There is an option in the rev slider component section where you may change the background colour. To make it transparent, just delete the current colour in the colour selection box, leave it blank and then save.
