Hello ANVERSCH,
Our suggestion is install this template using quickstart installation package, after installing it your site will looks exact like our demo preview and it will be easy to edit/customize any part of the template.
You can't remove the googlemap form, you have install the googlemap extension which is included in the downloaded package.
The extension documentation you can find on the following page:

You need plugin_googlemap_J25_J3x.v3.1.zip file

I installed template 2048 several times succesfully.
But now i have some problems.
first it gives this message:

Just reinstalled it and updated with the latest version, it works now just fine. Accordingly to the log it was corrupted during Joomla update.
Our suggestion is to perform backup each time before any updates.
