Joomla! Template 002031 - Item Support

OK - to recap then and add another problem

Problem 1 - Moo slider is stuck on first caption & will not autoplay - see http://www.apauto-tech.com/sunday/

Problem 2 - the Module assigned to position-62 with nothing assigned to positions 54 or 63 displayed will not flow across to the right - 54 & 63 do not seem to collapse and so content of module in 62 is all bunched up and does not flow across in a single line - see
http://www.apauto-tech.com/sunday/index.php/about-us.html//index.php?tp=1

Problem 3 - I have 4 x custom modules embedded in an article which is formatted for 4 columns (4 x fourths): the modules do not display in a line but are stepped/staggered down the page - how can I fix this? see http://www.apauto-tech.com/sunday/index.php/services.html

Problem 4 - the AS slider in slider position on home page does not line up with the right side of the template. I want to add a larger logo but when I do this it this moves the slider down to below position 0. How can I fix this?
see http://www.apauto-tech.com/sunday/

I am close to publishing this site now, so I really appreciate your help in getting these problems fixed.
Hello JOYPEGS,
1. Have you added any images? It will not work without images.
2. Column 3 (positions 52 and 62) collapse to column 4 only in case if column 4 doesn't have any published modules.
3. Please check the source code of the article and delete paragraphs <p> </p> , your article looks like the following:

<p> </p>
<div class="one_fourth_first">
<p> </p>
<div class="one_fourth">
<p> </p>
<div class="one_fourth">
<p> </p>
<div class="one_fourth_last">
<p> </p>

instead:

<div class="one_fourth_first">
<div class="one_fourth">
<div class="one_fourth">
<div class="one_fourth_last">

4. You have to config the slider background width, you can do it using the Slider Configuration Parameters -> Slider Configuration -> Background width (px), change it to 602 instead 702.

Regards, AS Team.

Thank you - that 's great.

1. I didn't realise that the Moo slider samples in the template demo were images - I thought I only had to edit the caption. Solved.

2. I also didn't fully understand the concept of 'collapsing' - I think I do now, thanks. Solved.

3. That code change worked thanks - solved.

4. That also worked, thanks - other users might find it useful to know that the slider and logo together need to add up to 1000px so with a slider width of 602px my logo image could be up to 398px. Solved.

Another query: I'd like to copy the 'Contact Us' module (position-53) - to display in other positions. I have tried opening the module and saving as a copy - but I can't see any coding that calls up the background image or content formatting (neither in the original or the copy) - where am I going wrong?
Hello JOYPEGS,
The 'Contact Us' module is designed for position 53 only, sorry about that.

Regards, AS Team.
OK that's fine ................ but information like that would be a really useful thing to include in your template documentation so that those of us who are learning as we work don't waste time trying .............

Thanks anyway.
How can I get a horizontal line divider to display in articles and category blogs (like the one one on your demo page at http://www.astemplates.com/content/asj31/index.php/services/our-products)?

I have inserted the line from the editor toolbar (this results in the tag <hr />) and although the line can be seen in the editor window, but it is not visible in the front end browser display.

Please see:

Many thanks (again!).
Hello JOYPEGS,
For this line please use the following code:

<div class="product-separator"> </div>

URGENT - my modules allocated to position 12 & 13 now display together in position 12 only. I have tried changing one to module position 14 but they still sit together in a single column. Please see:

http://www.apauto-tech.com/sunday/

- as far as I know I have not done anything to change the front page layout as I have been working on deeper pages - please advise what may have caused this.

Many thanks.
Hello JOYPEGS,
There are 2 published modules: one in the position 12 (custom module) and the second in position 14 (newsflash), they are displaying together but in different positions.

Regards, AS Team.
This is really very strange - the problem seemed to correct itself without any edit from me - spooky! The modules were assigned correctly, as you confirmed (side by side in position 12 & 14), but for a short period they didn't display correctly - they appeared in a single column in position 12. Any idea what might have caused this?

Thanks & regards.
Hello JOYPEGS,
No idea :)

Hi - I have a J2.5 site that uses this template, although I have customised it a bit (www.apauto-tech.com)

Will I have to do all of that again when I upgrade to J3, or will it be compatible?

Are there any instructions for upgrading to V3 of the template?

Many thanks for any help you can point me to.

JP

Hello JOYPEGS,
It is not fully compatible, the templates for joomla 2.5 and 3.x have different structure and css, you can try upgrade your Joomla to version 3, if the old template will not work you can always install the new template and then customize it.
Do not forget to make backup before the upgrade.

Regards, AS Team.
