Joomla! Template 002062 - Item Support

Hi there,

I installed using as002062_quickstart.zip using option "load sample data".
(you can access via URL http://eleanorwilks.com/homeas/
The template looks similar to http://www.astemplates.com/itempreview/226

But there is some obvious descrepancy:

http://eleanorwilks.com/homeas/index.php/gallery - drop down menu background is light grey
http://www.astemplates.com/itempreview/226 drop down menu background is red

demo home - not active vertical menu item is white
http://eleanorwilks.com/homeas/ - not active is black

I did not check further.

Any ideas about the reason it caused the descrepany & advise to fix would be greatly appreciated.

I tried in both Ggoogle Chrome and Mozilla Firefox (latest versions).

And I compared behaviour of
- http://www.astemplates.com/itempreview/226 and
- http://eleanorwilks.com/homeas/
in both browsers for both URLs above.

Since I asked you I managed to sinchronize menu font with your demo example via change of font color in module "As Menu" to "FFFFFF"

But I still cannot find how to change the submenu backround color to say red. Can you please clarify?

Please disregard my questions. The submenu background color is now identical to the one you have on you demo template page.

Hot sure why it has been experienced though...

after uploading as002062_quickstart.zip package via extension manager the error appears:

JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file

How are you controlling the order of the articles, if you use the same position at the same time? I would like to have a specific article (feedback) on the left side of as-position-30 and the counter on the right side of as-position-30. I haven't figured out, how I can solve this random behavior.

I installed via fast install ( used DB setting "mySQL" not "mySQLi")

Still experience problem with "Main Menu" and " Main Home Menu":
- subMenu background color goes #E9E9E9 or #EAEAEA instead of #FF2200 as it is on youe Demo page.

I experience the issue in Mozilla & Google Chrome (latest versions) on Windows 7 PC and in Safari (latest versions) both on Mac OS Lion desktop and Safari on iPad.
(checked home page on 5-6 different other computers)

So it is not the client browser/OS issue. The problem seats definitely on server end.

Shortly after fast installation and change of Main Menu/Hover Font Color to FF2200 the subMenu background colors were changed shortly to the same one as on your demo.

But few days later (no changes via administrator panel) - color are again corrupted. Check my site yourself: http://eleanorwilks.com/homeas/

I di not activate J3.2 caching and I disabled CloudFlare. But it did not help.

I spent some time trying to fix the ISSUE - I repeated fast installation 2 times. But the problem is still there.
Please advise a fix.

Some update re submenu background color (I previously POSTED: 2014-05-30)

I created new blank DB + new folder. Then I uploaded and repeated fast installation. This time (3rd installation ina row) everything looks fine. - http://eleanorwilks.com/as2/

I am getting a feeling that there is something glitchy on the virtual shared host server.

And I am not surprised if after few days something becomes corrupted again. So might be a good idea to research if it worthwhile to change account or host provider.

So disregard plreviously raised inquiry re submenu background color again.
Now I keep fingers crossed to see that no change after running in newly created folder for several days. %)

So I was purchased this paid item. Every template I try on local host (xampp). On my xampp joomla web site module mod_news_pro_gk4 wont work. This is what is on page when I try to open gallery or something else:

I am beaginner in joola, so am I doing something wrong?

I just go to extension menager, find file, klick on upload and install and that is it. You told me to turn off error reporting, but that is not solution of the problem, instead of error now I have white blank page.
Is it maybe that it wont work in my computer environment. Most are afraid that it will not work when the site is online.
Your opinion?

Ignore my last comment, my stupidity has no end, I guess I'll learn someday. Quick start is with all the plugins and modules, and I subsequently installed mod_news_pro_gk4. So for other beginners when installing Joomla from Quick start not later be installed modules. Now when install again joomla from Quick start with no further installation of modules, now everything works fine. Thank you very much for your efforts and answers.

I have installed the the template by quickstart. Everything works fine.
Now I would like to change the layout of the phoca gallery. How can I adapt the size of the pictures boxes and the number of the columns?

somehow i must have killed some settings of the menu by accident! however, i cannot reactivate the submenus on my site (-> www.npro.ch/j) and at the same time the nice sorting of the pictures on the homepage got lost: they are now alignet vertically...

is there somebody who could possibly explain me, which settings i have to apply to:
- get my submenus back... (actually, there are some... ;-))
- get the settings for the nice sorting of pictures on my homepage back?
