I have been trying several templates of the past several days and was wondering the following:
Is there are way to install a template with all its components and its data and the proper setup but WITHOUT doing a full QuickStart install? If not, at least the components and the setup (no data)? If not, maybe just a written explanation on what goes where? And if not, maybe somewhere where there is a full installation and I can look at the module in real time using the "Preview Module Positions"?
In case you are wondering why I don't want to do the QuickStart, the answer is that I don't want to have to move the content from one place to another just to try another template. I certainly don't want to create new content (articles, images, slider images, etc. and settings).

There is no such option to install all components without data, but if you would like to preview everything in real time you can install the quick-start package in some demo folder or demo server.
