i need the template to NOT ADD borders to images by default. I know it can be done by editing a css file but can't remember which and what to add on it.

So what is your site url and the page where you need to remove borders? We have to see it in case to help you.
Have tried the suggestions mentioned in de post above.
Is it correct that the installation of the Sample data is taking a lot of time. Have start it the procedure almost 20 minutes ago and the installation bar is still not at the end.
Is this correct ?
Or could it be that it has stopped at the background ?

Can you please let us know on which Joomla step it stuck? Are you trying to install it on live hosting server or on your localhost?
It stuck on the installation of the example data, 3rd step.
I installed it on the localhost using xampp. I then downgraded the version of xampp to the 1.8 version and now the installation was running through completly, but now I see that some components are missing during installation.
Which version of Xampp is the best to use ?
Do I need to install something extra after I loaded the quickstart has been loaded ?

You have to increase PHP memory limit and execution time on your local host. In the php.ini file please find and increase values for memory_limit and max_execution_time parameters.
the mainmenu is shown on tablet in 2 lines. How can I change this? on smartphone it's responsive. What is the problem by using a tablet? I tried IPAD 3 and Samsung.
PC and notebook is ok.

I have an issue lately with 4 error messages at the bottom of my entry page. I can't tell, how long it is there but I have updated the template today and also the module, which is shown in the error..

Today it was the first time, I made a template update and I haven't changed anything in the structure. The only stuff I update from time to time is the content or the module versions in the admin center.
I would appreciate, if you could point me to the root cause of the error messages.

Hello EXCALIBUR,
It is not an error, it is just a notice. All warnings/notices you can disable in your Joomla admin panel -> Global configurations -> Server Settings panel by changing the Error Reporting parameter to 'None'.
I did the installation as directed in the instructions, however; when I log in to the administration portal to set the template to use, the template is not listed. I attempt to install the template and receive an error each time. Please advise

THat way it would for me much easier to change the content for my own use.
