The image has class named 'none', the class is created for hiding any content, you can delete it from tmpl.content.css file, please see line 419.

BTW, you are running too old Joomla version (1.7), this version is not supported anymore, our suggestion is use 2.5 Joomla version, or install the template using quick-start package. A quickstart is basically a fully functional and customized Joomla! package containing the default Joomla installation package, all modules, choosen template and plugins with all the configurations and data in one place. The sample data in the quickstart package is also personalized according to the template and is much different to the sample data found in the default Joomla package.
