I installed the Hot image slider for the Vine theme, and everytime I insert some text for the image description the slider is shown as black, and nothing appears.

Hello DJNEILLY,
The hitch was with the way the description text had been written. Do not put the description text inside quotation marks.
One more thing, there a likelihood of the drop down menu not functioning correctly. To rectify this, please disable the jquery in the hot image slider admin panel. This ensures that there is no jquery conflict between the menu and the hot image slider module.
