Is there something I am supposed to configure during setup or in joomla admin to get the template to work on an android platform (cell phone)?

How do I update my older version of this template to the newest one?
I tried installing the new version and it says the template folder already exist. I tried re-naming the new version's extraction file to a new name and installing, but that didn't work. Then I tried renaming the older version template and that wouldn't work either.

Hello DALLYWHO,
First you have to uninstall the old template version and then install the new one, or you can just upload all files from the new version on your server via FTP.
