I just purchased a subscription/membership in order to try some of your templates and hopefully use one. Let's talk specifically about 2046... I already have a fully functioning Joomla installation and website.
It seems to me that the only way I can install the template with all is components and data, i.e., to have the full installation like it appears in the demo on your website, I must use the QuickStart installation, but that means a whole new Joomla installation...
Is there a way to install JUST the template and its relevant components? Or at least see a document that shows the parameters and lists the components and the module positions used?

The quick-start package is actually the template documentation. If by some reason you can't install it on your live server you can install on some demo server or demo folder and then preview all settings.
Also you can preview all modules configuration settings here:

Hello,
I have a fairly narrow (vertically) logo image. I was wondering about the best way to reduce/remove the padding from above and under the image. Is there any "interface" way of doing this? If I must do so in the css file(s), which ones can/should I do it to minimize the number of changes? Thank you.

1. Is there a way to search the knowledge base here? One that does not involve paginating through ALL comments and browser-text-searching through all?
2. This is so trivial that I am sure it is somewhere that I am missing... How can I narrow the width of all menu items in the AS Menu so that I can fit more items horizontally? Currently, the items stay the same width regardless of the font size...

The gist was whether there was a way to search ACROSS templates, assuming that there are things to learn on common elements such as the menu.

What is your site url please? Have you installed it using quick-start installation package? Any changes should be done in the template's css files. You can easy determinate the file which should be changed and the css class by installing and using Mozilla Fireblug plugin: https://getfirebug.com/
