We checked this issue, you are right, by some reason Joomla 2.5.9 blocks Google ads script, sorry but we don't have a solution at this moment.
I used the quick start installation for AS 002036, but I am having trouble with the Database Configuration step. I am getting the "Could not connect to the database" message. I tried to fix this by creating the database and then tried to connect again, but I still get the same connection error.
These are the parameters that I used:
Database Type - Mysql
Host Name - localhost
Username - lduke
Password - *********
Table Prefix - ttinf_
Old Database Process - Backup

The problem was Hostname needed to be change from "local host" to what the hosting company specified after the database is created. So that meant that I needed to create the database first and then connect. This is how it is at least for go daddy.com

I have a question.
One can additional insert module positions.
I would need a module under the position 0-2.
