It seems you have some misconfiguration on your server, you have to check your server logs in case to find the problem.
Did you try to install original joomla package from joomla.org?
Hello. I have done a fresh install using the quick set up file uploaded onto my server and I get a "congratulations Joomla is now installed" message yet I have done no installation.
My database is still empty so it cannot be installed.

In your root Joomla folder please look for configuration.php file, then delete it.
I have a site with
Joomla! Template 002040 updated to version 2017-01-29 licensed;
I have a problem with the php version. The template works only with the php 5.5 version, with version 5.6 and with the error of 7 am Error displaying the error page: Application Instance Error: Could not connect to MySQL. It can be solved since version 5.6 is supported up to December 2017?

The 'Could not connect to MySQL' error message is not related to the template, the massage comes form Joomla CMS and means that the access info to your database is wrong, the info you can check with your hosting provider only.

Just installed 002040 on our server without any issues. Did you do installation on life server? Did you try to install it on local server? What PHP version server provide?
