Joomla! Template 002066 - Item Support

Hello MEGAHRAC,
You have to move it from subfolder '/as002066_quickstart' to your root folder, enable .htaccess and set 'Use URL Rewriting' parameter in your Joomla admin panel -> Global configuration -> SEO Settings to YES.

Regards, AS Team.
Thanks. It helped.
Can you help me with one more thing? How do i change the logo? (Harvest Hills) I assume its .png but i struggle to find it and change it.

Jan
Just been working on my webshop with the latest version of Virtuemart.
But when I access the shop I get the following error:
info
Info: Your template settings are old, please check your template settings in the vm config and in your categories

Can you tell me what to do?
Don't really know what I'm doin' wrong.

Thanx!
Roy
And another question, sorry...

I'm afraid I'm missing some modules, for instance: Art slider Splah (i have the normal artslider), the social media module and more.
I'm I right or do I need to make these myself?

Thanx again.
Hello VITABODY,
Our suggestion is to install it using quick-start installation package, after installing the package your site will look exact like our demo preview page and it will be easy for you to make changes in the content, preview all parameters and settings. The quick-start package is actually the template documentation. If by some reason you can't install it on your live server you can install on some demo server or demo folder and then preview all settings.
The package should be installed like regular Joomla installation, here you can find some more info:
http://www.astemplates.com/joomla-template-documentation/238-002066

Sorry, we cannot help you with VM component because this template does not come with it, but you may ask for our services:

hi - I've just tried to install the current version of 2066 template over the top of a previously installed ( but older ) version of the same template. I couldn't find any information about updating templates either here or at joomla docs, so I figured it must just be straight over the top.

Anyway, it didn't install because of the previous version being there, with the message "another folder exists with the same name" etc....so could you please confirm the correct method for updating a template please ? and could you please advise on what to do next, given I've already made one unsuccessful attempt ?

much appreciated, P
Hi again - Surprisingly there's very little info around online, in forums and docs, on updating templates. I know usually you just have to use the joomla update function, but sometimes there are some templates that have special needs.

Would be good if you included some template updating info here for astemplate members ( like me ).

Anyway, I tried updating again and got the same response :

"Warning
Extension Install: Another template is already using the named folder. Are you trying to install the same extension again?

and

Error
Error installing template"

The previous version is 002066 template, vers 1.1.0.

I'm guessing this is a new version bug ?

Thx, P
PS could you please remove the file path name from my previous post please ? I just copy / pasted and totally forgot to remove it.
Much appreciated, P
Another PS - I also haven't made any template, site or core file changes yet, as I thought I'd install the updated template first.

I also just paid $95AUD for a 90 day club membership, so a little disappointed that the template didn't install / update. ( I've been building joomla sites for nearly 10 years now, by the way ).

P.
Hello PABS111,
Joomla templates cannot be updated via Joomla Extension manager, Joomla does not have such option, it can be done only by uploading updated template files on your server via FTP, the list of updated files you can see here:
http://www.astemplates.com/joomla-template-news/238-002066

Please do not forget about backups before making any updates.

Regards, AS Team.
hi - thanks for that, though I'm sure I just read some rocket theme forum admins saying you can use the joomla function for one of their template updates.

No matter, I'll do it manually. So I just find the files that have been updated in the zip file with the updated 002066 version in it, then upload to their locations onsite ? ( after site & file backups of course )

Only 3 files ? ....the extensions too ?

Thx
Hello PABS111,
If your current template version is 1.1.0 you have to replace files from the releases 1.2.0 and 1.3.0, also you will need to install the updated extensions, the extensions can be installed via Joomla extensions manager.

Regards, AS Team.
Ok all done. No issues. I noticed an minor design issue or two along the way and I'll pass them along shortly.

I must have been remembering doing new installs, I really thought I was remembering updating templates using the extension updater. I guess not. Has been some long gaps in between site work though.

But thanks, always a relief to update / upgrade and not have any issues in the outcome.

hi - well it seems that this template isn't bootstrap3, as I had thought, and the app I'm using isn't very compatible with bootstrap2. It's the sole reason for building this site. It's a crowdfunding app for joomla from ITPrism.

So, do you have any suggestions ?

What are the chances of upgrading this template with Bootstrap3 ( and like, pretty much, now, if it would probably have to be )

And, which joomla templates available here are bootstrap3 please ? ( I dread the thought of having to start all over )

thanks, P

Hello PABS111,
Unfortunately Joomla does not support Bootstrap 3, it is based on the 2nd version.

Hi, I'have created a menu item type "Phoca Gallery » List Of Categories (Categories View)".
When I click in the category it's all ok but i have an error showed on the top of the photo when i click a single image and the gallery opens.
The error is:
Notice: Undefined variable: tmpl_style in ...mysite...\templates\as002066\component.php on line 68

Can you help me please?
Hello SEJYSTEMPLATES,
What is your site url please? We have to see it in case to help you.

Regards, AS Team.
I've solved the problem simply in this way:

/*
$doc->addStyleSheet('templates/'.$this->template/css/'.$tmpl_style);include 'styles.php';
*/

Just comment the line 68 in ...\templates\as002066\component.php

P.S. The site is not online, it's only a work in progress on my XAMPP local Virtual Machine.
Hello SEJYSTEMPLATES,
Thank You for noticing about this issue, we will fix it in the next template release.

Hi, I just bought this template and first problem I noticed that those 3 images in the Artslider (first page, body_splash) are covered with the footer. It looks like it's cut starting from the top because no matter how much I add a color in Adobe to the bottom of the picture it is always covered by footer at the same point. The pictures are 2000x1050px size and I would expect that they should fit between the header and the footer (as-position-3). When you look up the slider folder, the 3 of them are bigger then the artslider shows. How to change this so it will show an image as it is originally in the file?
