We bought today the specific template. Before starting to create the blog we noticed that the component EasyBlog needs an update from
5.2.3 to 5.2.5
When we try to update this we get an error:
"Error updating component when using the API from Joomla. Please try again."
Every time we tried it, we get the same error.
Can you please tell us what we have to do?

You are not allowed to update the easyblog extension. As it is a premium extension and we are not allowed to distribute the extension.
If you want to get regular updates for the template, you have to purchase the license from the respective extension developer (Stackideas).
PS: We are releasing it's another update with Joomla articles. So if you don't want to go with EasyBlog, you can setup your magazine with Joomla articles only.
Sorry, you are not allowed to update the premium plugins as they require the Activation key to update the component.
And we are not allowed to distribute the activation keys. if you want to update the EasyBlog, you have to purchase the license key from the respective extension developer.
For Quix, we will release the update soon. You can download the activated version of Quix from the extension folder
Just purchased JD magazine template. The file i downloaded is unzip me first........I did this on my local machine and I now have 4 zip folders. I tried to install one folder - jd-quicksttart using Joomla Extensions manager but received error "cannot read xml file.
can you lead me through the process to get this template installed please!

1. Quickstart is the exact template that is shown on demo site.
2. Quickstart comes with all Joomla CMS files.
3. And all extensions, sample data, and images.
4. It is better to use quickstart packages if you do not currently have a website.
Note: if you are using Joomla Quickstart Package on existing website, all the previous data will be replaced with the demo data of the template. So if you are developing a website from scratch, only then use quickstart package otherwise use Joomla Template only.
