Joomla! Template 002035 - Item Support

I installed the quickstart package and I chose the option to install sample data, but the site does not look like the demo site at all. The template is not listed in the Template manager either. How can I fix this?
Hello BECCAJEEN,
Our suggestion is to delete all Joomla files and reinstall quick-start package one more time, please be sure you choose the template sample data not the Joomla data.

Thank you for your quick response. I installed again in a different directory and it worked.
Hi. I have two problems:

1) On the demo site there is a section with the title "Our Stuff" on the About page. Where can I change the title? I have looked through all the articles, modules, menus, and categories and cannot find it.

2) I inserted my own logo which has a transparent background, but it appears on the page with a white background. How can I fix this?

Thank you

Hello BECCAJEEN,
The title you can remove/edit in your Joomla admin panel -> Menus -> Main Menu -> About -> Page Display -> Page Heading parameter.

Sorry, your logo is not transparent: http://www.testsite2.fountainsanitation.com/images/AFCURELogoSmallShadow.png

Thank you for your help. I have another question. When I load a page in IE10 I get this message: "Did you know that your Internet Explorer is out of date?
To get the best possible experience using our website we recommend that you upgrade to a newer version or other web browser. A list of the most popular web browsers can be found below.

Just click on the icons to get to the download page".

How can I turn this off? I am able to load the pages fine in other versions.

Thank you

Hello BECCAJEEN,
This message you can receive in IE8 or less, it is because the IE8 does not support HTML5 elements, as result your site will look not good.
If you still want to disable it you have to edit the template index.php file by removing the following string on line 44:

include 'ie8warning.php';

Thank you. I will deactivate it. It does happen in IE10 when the Compatibility View is on. Many people do not understand how to use the Compatibility View, and I want to make sure that if they have it on they can still access the site.

Is it possible to turn the menu into a sidebar Menu? If so, how can I do this?

Sorry for so many questions. I am new to Joomla, but am learning pretty quickly.

Thanks again,

Becky
Hello BECCAJEEN,
It should be developed.

Regards, AS Team.
Just in case anyone else has the same issue:

I found a better solution to the problem of the "Internet Explorer Out of Date" message. Instead of turning it off, I just added this text to warning.js:

"If you are already using the most current version of Internet Explorer, please de-select the Compatibility View button in the Address Bar."

This way they know to deselect the Compatibility View button to view the page.

Hello BECCAJEEN,
Good idea, thank You.

Is there a way to make an article title and article picture link to an external website?
Hello BECCAJEEN,
You can do it in custom HTML only.
