Unfortunately I can't find any documentaion/ link to the module positions. Where can I find it?

First, enable "Preview Module Positions" from template options. After this use ?tp=1 with before site URL to know the module position.

Yes I know ?tp=1, but I would like to know positions in advance, not after installing the template with sample content. I can check templateDetails.xml as well, but where will be placed user3 or position6 or top3 or...?
Without a module-positions document it's a pretty complex way to get the website planned and built.
Maybe you can set preview here in astemplates?
