I got a problem with an component too, but i allready contacted the developer of the component an get the information that my problems are in the template. So i would like to write it here, hope you got an idea.
I use a form component and the captcha gets torn appart by the as templates. i tryed three AS Templates and some other templates.
On this link i have a screenshot of the AS templates AS002034, AS2035Free and AS002036Free and to show how it should look the default templates Beez5 and Beez2.
In the Template 2034 i added #m4jSubmitWrap table tr td input{
width: auto;
in the custom CSS area in the template, so it look better.
If i remove this it would look like AS 2035 and AS2036.
In the default templates everything looks fine.

I have attempted to use several different modules in an effort to display a simple group of article teasers complete with text floated around an image. None of them work. Is there some setting in your template that does not allow this?

On my form the height andand the fontsize of the selectboxes are smaller then the other formelements.
I asked the developer of the formcomponent and they told me that this problem comes from the template.
I corrected the height of the selecboxes but not the font with custom css, but it wout be better to correct it in the template itselfs.
My problem is that is lookt good on Firefox and IE but the custim css dont work in safari.
Any idea?

Yes, you have create your background image and replace it with one from the following folders:
templates/as002034/images/themes/lite
or
templates/as002034/images/themes/sky
