It depends on the number of images, if you will add more images it will be not duplicated.

i try to install the quick-start package on a localhost xampp server.
During the step, installing the sample data, the installation is stopp.
In the pre-installation check everything is ok and all the flags are on yes.

You have to increase PHP memory limit and execution time on your localhost. In the php.ini file please find and increase values for memory_limit and max_execution_time parameters.
