I am trying to recover old Joomla website. After migrating from 1.5 to 3.6 Joomla version and installing Template 002096 template the front page looks like single article without any menus etc. How could I switch it to default front-page?

Hello YOUGOOD,
Our suggestion is to install it using quick-start installation package, after installing the package your site will look exact like our demo preview page and it will be easy for you to make changes in the content, preview all parameters and settings. The quick-start package is actually the template documentation. If by some reason you can't install it on your live server you can install on some demo server or demo folder and then preview all settings.
The package should be installed like regular Joomla installation, here you can find some more info: http://www.astemplates.com/joomla-template-documentation/545-002096
I use my website JBCookies - cookie controll extension. It works, but I have one problem:
When I click the "learn more" then the browser window is going to darkness, but the "more info" box is not visible.
JBCookies suport team answer my question:

There are some conditions for the module works:
Version of Joomla 3
Bootstrap 2.3.2 (Default version of the core Joomla) or Uikit (In your template)
Template for Bootstrap, for example Protostar
It's posible you need this line in your template for the popup module jbcookies:
// Add JavaScript Frameworks
JHtml::_('bootstrap.framework');"
You know wich is version Bootstrap in my templates?
Where can I find the popup module? (Because I want instert this line:// Add JavaScript Frameworks
JHtml::_('bootstrap.framework');)
You met him a similar problem ?

The template color style you can change using the template parameters, in your Joomla admin panel please go to the Templates page, click on the template then under Features tab see Theme Style parameter.
Just one more question: How can I change the language to german? In the template editor I see a folder "language". There are german files inside. Where do I set the standard for the template language to german?
The admin and content language in Jooomla is set to german, but the template is shown in english (for exapple "read more" button instead of "weiterlesen..."). Where to change this?

It is because you made changes in the template copyright, we are not allow to remove the copyright or make any changes in the copyright.
The copyright can be removed/changed only in the premium version.
Thank you, I saw that article. But I think it is to override some things I want to change for example with an other phrase.
But my problem is: It seems that there comes german language with the template (or am I wrong?).
All my Global settings front- and backend are set to german. But the template is still the english version. Should´t it could be able to switch between the languages? Or do I have to override all phrases in the active english language ini-file?

Do you have 'de-DE.tpl_as002096.ini' file in '/language/de-DE/' folder? If not, please copy it from the template folder.
Now I´ve copied the 'de-DE.tpl_as002096.ini' from the template folder to the 'root/language/de_DE' folder. The same - english. Cleared Browser cache - still english
It seems parts are working, but for example the 'read more' button should be named in german 'Weiter lesen'. But there is still 'read more' (in the first three items right under the top slider menu). But in german language ini-file the variable is set to 'Weiter lesen'.
Don´t understand that.
And - sorry but problems - I get errors:
If i click: edit menu (contact form) from the frontent it don´t find the page. An error message is shown: '0 Call to a member function get() on null'
And if I try to edit the main contact error messages are shown:
JUser: :_load: Fehler beim Laden des Benutzers mit der ID: 766
JUser: :_load: Fehler beim Laden des Benutzers mit der ID: 626

For checking the language issue we need an access to your Joomla admin panel, the access info please put in the Special info area under your Purchased items section of your AS account.
You can just ignore the warning with the user, after you will save the item under your user the massage will disappear.

Don´t understand that.
