But the idea was to modify the background color of some articles in a category in such a way that the â€Âintro text†and the “[hr id='system-readmore' /]†have the same background color and the remaining text of the article has the default background color.

If you're using a popular Chrome extension LastPass, which adds some top bar to page top, then top menu drifts down and brakes a page view. I'm afraide this effect take a place in other browsers and extensions. Is there some solution of this problem?

You have to change the submenu width, please, in the template.css file, on line 366, in the class #header #topmenu ul.menu ul, change the width from 183px to 220px, or problem you will need 250px instead.
