Did you install any Cache extension from website or server? Look like it's heavy cache so code is not applied yet.

In Config was "No Cache" .
I changed it to "Normal Cache"
In the german template are no changes.
In the english template i have a blue button"next"
and a black button "Prev"

Look like cache updated.
For text color, and more space between buttons, please add more CSS code
If you do not see any effect after add code, just clear cache or waiting for some hours to get cache update and recheck.

It works fine with all Page Builder Pages.
It works not with simple articles.
But, if you put a Side Module build with Page Builder to your site it works fine.
I think the system cant reach the iconfile outsite of Page Builder.
