please let me know because I could not find the section of folder that contains the current slide show which I just want to edit and substitute with my own pics.

The slider you are referring to is called Unite Revolution Slider. To change the images, go to your Joomla admin components > Unite Revolution Slider > Slides. You can change the images in individual slides by clicking on their respective thumbnails in the list of the slides.
