The zoom (in/out) control is not displaying correctly, it could be easier if I could upload an image.
The 'plus' and 'minus' symbols are not centered in there div's.
I am seeing 2 pluses horizontally with a top half of a plus centered underneath it when NOT hovering over the zoom,
I am seeing 2 minuses horizontally with a minus centered underneath it.
and 2 minuses when NOT hovering over the zoom,
I am seeing 2 pluses horizontally and centered vertically when hovering over the pluses.
I am seeing 2 minuses horizontally and centered vertically when hovering over the minuses.
Hoping you can help.

Try to reinstall the plugin, also you can compare all plugin settings with settings in quick-start package, in this case you will need to install it on some demo server or demo folder.

Hi while researching the plugin I noticed it has been unpublished by extensions.joomla.org.

Version 3.3 of this plugin is listed in the JED and appears to be clean. However once installed, the Joomla update manager prompts you to update this extension to a version 3.5 (which is not officially published). This version contains hidden backlinks and potential backdoor, with tracking information about the website running the plugin and user.

My only modifaction I made was to add:
#phocaMapPlgPM1 {
box-shadow: 0px 0px 2px 2px rgba(0,0,0,.3) !important;
}
to my style.custom.css as I didn't much like the default border color choices.
Note: you need both the component and plugin from Phoco which wasn't immediately obvious to me.
