I have tried it using IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome on 2 different computers running Windows 8.1 and consistently get this behavior. On other AS templates when I hover over the fields in the contacts I get a neat little black box with white writing that that lists the field name and description, but on this template the html codes comes up when I hover not the black box. I will boot up my older computer running Windows 7 to see if I get the same results.

It seems you have some kind of problem with permissions and/or php configuration. During which installation step are you receiving this message? Are you trying to install it on your live server or localhost? What PHP version do you have? Have you tried to install default Joomla package from joomla.org site and if you received the same error msg?
I would like to know if your template are accompanied with all needed modules and plugins from your demo website.

Yes, the premium version comes with all modules, plugins and images, as well it comes with quick-start installation package, after installing the package your site will look exact like our demo preview.
Besides the version for Joomla3 the visual example does not match what is in the code.

The template version for Joomla 3 was fully recreated, changed all module positions and files structure. It will not work just by replacing the previous template version.
The template is moved under Bootstrapped Framework like Joomla 3. The Bootstrap Framework makes it fully responsive to all screen resolutions and aspect ratios.
If you will decide to move to the new version you will need to build your existing site from scratch using the quick-start package. Please do not forget about backups.

the latter is much less than for dévellopée version Joomla2.
there are not many Prédefin style, coding is simplistic.
I am disappointed because the version for joomla2 was really good.
