Joomla! Template 002063 - Item Support

Thnx ... found it.

Q1: Can I change icons? With more color? I want (for example) the facebook logo to change to colored blue version when hoving over.

Q2: how can change background color or to a picture? Its now white and grey.

Q3: is there any detailed information about this template, like where everything is? For example to change background, which module is what? Module positions to find everything much faster.

Thnx
Kurt
Hello KURTDEJAEGER,
You can do it by creating your own css or by editing existing, you can easy determinate the file which should be changed and the css class by installing and using Firefox Web Development tools https://developer.mozilla.org/son/docs/Tools or Firebug Lite for Google Chrome https://getfirebug.com/releases/lite/chrome/

Here you can find some info of using firebug tool:
http://blog.astemplates.com/firebug-tutorial/#more-402

Also please check the template documentation here:

Hi,
Whats the best way to update the Template from v2.2.0 to v2.5.1 ?

Thanks
Cheers
Hello MANITU60,
There is only one way, you have to replace updated files, the list of the changed files you can find here: https://www.astemplates.com/joomla-template-news/228-002063

Dear AS Team,

I have the latest version of the Template put in place. However I encountered a huge problem.
With updating to Joomla 3.8.8 one of the pages of the website (a gallery view) gave a fatal error message : "Using $this when not in object context"
The rest of the website was OK.
I restored a back-up and all was OK again until the moment I updated the Joomla software to the 3.8.8 version. The same error appeared.
Can you please advise? Best regards, Rob

Hello ROBERT10,
Please check, it is OK now, seems Jomla has a bug with Random image module in version 3.8.8

Regards, AS Team.
Dear AS Team,
it seems to be OK now. Can you tell me what you have done and if the problem will re-occur with the next Joomla update?

I said I am working with the latest version of the Template (2.5.0).
I just downloaded the Template again and I saw version 2.5.1 but yhere is no Changelog for this. Are there certain files I have to replace?

In any case I have to thank you very much for your professional and quick help. I appreciate this very much and am impressed.

Kindest regards, Rob Valk
Hello ROBERT10,
It was a problem with random image module, seems Joomla did not updated it in the latest version.

Hi, I am using this template and currently have version 1.2.0 of the template installed, I have just renewed my licence and downloaded version 2.5.1 of the template. My question is, do I just upload the as002063_template.zip file via the Joomla installer and it will update the template? I see you have instructed other people to update files manually (individually based on changelog files), but this doesn't seem like the correct way?

I have used style.custom.css so my customisations should be retained, even with the new template?

Regards
Nicola
Hello WEBCOAST,
Joomla will not allow to upload the template via installer, you will get error message, you can upload it via FTP except the style.custom.css file or just updated files.

Regards, AS Team.
Thanks, I have updated the template via ftp. I noticed though, that in the Joomla backend, under Extensions - Manage-Manage and then search on "2063" the version listed is 1.2.0, But it is correct under Extensions-Templates-Templates (version 2.5.0 listed). This should be fixed, it will cause confusion. Can you please send me updated file for uploading to fix this?
Regards, Nicola
Hello WEBCOAST,
You do not need to worry about that, as we told you in our previous post Joomla doesn't have an option for updating templates, it shows you first installed version, the correct version is 2.5.0

Hi, when I upgrade my site from PHP 7.0.31 to PHP 7.1.21 I received the following error instead of the home page showing. "0 - Using $this when not in object context".

Can you please supply a fix for this, as far as I can see the template version 2.5.0 supports 7.1.10, is there an update to the template so that it supports later versions of 7.1.x and 7.2?

Thanks
Nicola
