How do I know it is updated?I'm usually ok with this stuff but this has me well confused i.e. some of it doesn't make sense.

If everything is working for you it is not necessary to update it.
We just recommended to rename the:
/public_html/www.whatever.com/templates/002035
folder to something like:
/public_html/www.whatever.com/templates/002035_old
Then take the premium zip file and upload it in the
/public_html/www.whatever.com/templates/
folder, unzip it and rename from 'as002035_premium' to '002035'
Hi, I'm trying to unpublish the category Team on the site I'm working on, however as soon as I do that I get a 404 - Category not found. Can you tell me how I can remove this category and not receive a 404 error?

In the latest version the slider images size is 1600x550 px. These images you can find in the quick-start package in "images\sampledata\asimage\slider" folder.

Does this mean that I have to have this jQuery plugin installed?
Compared to the old template, I miss the possibility to add the number of used slider pictures, the configuration has changed dramatically...I do not know where to configure the slider ..what extensions are absolutely necessary to install, so that the slider will work as before ..?
But our suggestion is to install it using quick-start installation package, after installing the package your site will look exact like our demo preview page and it will be easy for you to make changes in the content, preview all parameters and settings. The quick-start package is actually the template documentation. If by some reason you can't install it on your live server you can install on some demo server or demo folder and then preview all settings.

You have to upload favicon.ico not a zip file, the icon you have to upload via FTP in 'templates/as002035' folder on your server.
